VERO BEACH – Frank and Peggy Richardson, residents of The Brennity at Vero Beach, will be playing a big part in the 7th annual Indian River County St. Patrick’s Day parade at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, along 14th Avenue from the Vero Beach High School. Frank will be the grand marshal and Peggy will be aide to the grand marshal.

Frank’s grandparents were from Donegal and County Mayo, Ireland, and Peggy’s parents were from Cork and County Clare, Ireland.

The Richardsons grew up in New York and moved to Vero Beach in 1995. They have been members of the Elks for 23 years. After moving to Vero Beach, Frank served three years as the Lodge Tiler. He initiated the membership email list for 925 members and still maintains them today.

It was Frank’s vision to see the St. Patrick’s Day parade marching up 14th Avenue. That vision came true seven years ago with the help of other members.

The parade check-in is at noon and starts at 1 p.m. The parade will be along 14th Avenue from the Vero Beach High School to 22nd Street.
